The Core Scheduler can be configured to suit many different situations, three typical systems are defined below:

  1.  With a direct link to the Core Master Data and Bill of Material using one of the many internal algorithms an accurate schedule can quickly be generated for food processing factories taking account of WIP and finished goods against stock and profiles.
  2. Stand alone using Sales Ordering and product operations with production rates and efficiencies.
  3. Stand alone with a simple spreadsheet import of Resources and Components.

SME Production Control System!

Core Scheduler is an multi-user production control system designed for SMEs who want to link departmental areas of their production process.

The system can be used with a CSV file import for orders and products or used with an input menu and data typed in manually.

A good example where Core Scheduler is used is in a haulage site that collects delivery of food stuff from farms and returns back to the depot.  The schedule of the vehicles leaving the depot, going out to the farms and then back to the depots is critical if we don’t want a queue of vehicles waiting at the farms or in the depots for loading and unloading.  Another constraint is we would have a finite number of vehicles and we must use these efficiently.

3. Stand alone with a simple spreadsheet import

SME Production Control System!

Another example is in a SME who has a sales ordering Processing system (SOP) and uses spreadsheets to calculate capacity and generate a schedule possibly exporting to a chart in the spreadsheet for display.  The data can be as simple as:

  1. a list of resources with shift patterns.
  2. a list of products with operations.

Core Scheduler will import this data and convert this into an accurate schedule taking account of resources, shift patterns, operation structure, with a choice of algorithms that will automatically convert the data to the schedule.
