SFJ Systems has dedicated itself to implementing their systems in the engineering industry. We help companies to cope with all aspects of manufacturing: from the raw materials to finished goods and distribution, we aid engineering companies at any and every stage of the manufacturing process. We link to many different types of systems including SAP, AS400, MFGPro and in-house developed spreadsheet systems.

A key part of the finite scheduling system is to be very flexible up to last minute changes.  The Closed Loop control enables managers to quickly adjust the schedule if a change of route card is required, or a rushed job is requested by a customer.

Some example installations:

APG CASH DRAWER Ltd APGCashDrawer400-300Manufacture Cash Drawers for supermarkets.

APG required a system to control and plan their units that are returned for repairs. They are using Core Repairs to record repair tasks and inspection details.

The repair process follows a complex logic path through production with an inspection process at each stage.  Each stage is meticulously inspected and worn parts replaced until the complete unit operates as new.

The system started as a UK scheduling and controlling system for the repairs of cash drawers when returned to manufacturing.  Now this has rolled out internationally to  the USA, Germany and Spain.

Kenco Techniques Ltd is a diverse engineering company making components for F1, Aerospace, and medical units.

Core Production Closed Loop finite scheduling system.

Integration was required to link Core Production to Kenco’s inhouse stock system called KISS. Core Production holds the master data and has a constant link to its finite scheduler which is directly connected to 14 Core Viewers.  Shop floor viewing and data capture systems complete the closed loop environment. This allows the engineers to quickly react to changes of the route card and pick up the latest production data from the shop floor, which proved to reduce downtime and improve efficiency delivering a high service level.

Real time updating algorithms in Core Production became critical in day to day running the factory.  Kenco make good use of the web control where managers can adjust the system remotely if required.

Flextronics Sarvar is a global supplier for injection-moulded components. They supply to a range of sectors, including automotive and retail.

SFJ has written specific scheduling algorithms for Flextronics to improve efficiency within their plant. Now they are able to generate accurate daily schedules.

Flex Cork is a global supplier for white goods.

They use SFJ algorithms  to create detailed production schedule for PCB board production.
